I’m with 1-0 on this. It’ll take more than a few primary defeats, an unrecoverable deficit in delegates, cloves of garlic or signs of the cross to call Hillary well and truly dead.

And given how badly Obama has screwed the pooch with the whole “Reverend” Wright bit, they might both wind up as among the “dead who walk” come Denver.

“The corporate media” may well dislike Bubba and Hillary but the reporters and the editorial folks gave them, by and large, a pass on their political antics - so long as it was against Republican targets. It was only when Billy Jeff’s non-political antics got so outrageous that there was to much blood in the water to ignore did the whole MSM fall upon that.

And yes, the MSM has now anointed Obama as their newly “chosen one” and have gone overboard with that.

Also, it were the GOP that did the impeaching, not the MSM, and they took ferocious heat from the MSM for that. Not to undeservedly as there was much hypocrisy on their side as well. But it weren’t the Republicans who lied under oath and that’s what the Prez was impeached for.

Of course, in the time since you made your initial entry the race has gotten even more shrill and desperate for Hillary. She’s now going after Obama for his NAFTA/Secret phone call bit. All this is carefully being recorded by the GOP for use later. Of course. There’s even speculation now that Hillary might not call it quits if she gets drubbed tomorrow. As you said, she needs to shut the hell up.

But today …

The MSM have never given the Clintons “a pass”. The antipathy between the corporate media and both of the Clintons is well documented - and goes back more than a decade. If the “liberal media elite” are giving anyone a break, it’s Obama.

And I say that as someone who has been following Senator Obama since he was in the Illinois senate …. and as someone who wants him to win the nomimation AND the Presidency.

If the “liberal media elite” had any interest in giving the Clintons a “pass”, he would never have been impeached and her “cleavage” would never have been discussed above the fold.

Back when Billy Jeff was first running, Hillary made _very_ clear that she was her own woman. She was emphatic about everyone remembering it was Hillary RODHAM-Clinton and nothing less. Now, here she is campaigning for the highest office in the land and you’d be hard pressed to find any evidence from her of her “maiden” name - nor the hyphen thing either. What happened to that “”I’m not sitting here like some little woman standing by my man…” woman of yore?

As to Bubba and his race baiting, finally the truth is coming out. This sorta stuff is classic Clinton dirty tricks. Up until now though, it had primarily been directed at Republicans and thus the MSM gave the Clintons a pass. Now that the target is the media’s newest anointed darling, the Clintons are finally getting called on the sleaze they’ve long used. This is nothing new here from them, sadly.

I think it a measure of just how desperate Hillary has become in facing Obama. A black candidate is the one thing which could scuttle her chances to gain the nomination and she simply doesn’t know how to handle it. Thus she’s fallen back on her favorite tactics of dirty tricks and sleaze. And yes, Obama is having a field day calling Hillary on her utterly non-descript voting record in the Senate. Rightly so to.
